Investing in agriculture, and in particular businesses working with smallholder farmers, in East Africa; providing marketing, financial and consulting services to such companies.
governance & transparency
We work closely with smallholder farmers and end users of agricultural products to develop traceability within the product chain and transparency in prices offered to farmers. We work with local government to develop smallholder agriculture and indeed are major funders of them through proper payment of local crop taxes.

enterprise & employment
We provide work full-time or part-time through the companies which we have helped to establish to at least 1,700 people in Tanzania as well as 200+ in Kenya and 30+ in Uganda.. We also support the UK charity ‘Equity for Africa’ which helps Tanzanian businessmen and women set up or expand their businesses. For more on Equity for Africa,
human development
We support various development projects through the businesses in which we have invested including – microgeneration of electricity through turbines in irrigation furrows (Kilimanjaro – Blue Mountain Coffee Farms); education re HIV/AIDS – publication of Siyo Mchezo magazine (Biolands International); support of KCMC Medical School, Moshi, Tanzania etc
