British African Business Association
The British African Business Association ( BABA ) represents four regional business associations based in the UK* whose main focus is to facilitate investment into and trade with African countries. BABA’s main purpose is to act as the British voice in the European Business Council for Africa and the Mediterranean ( EBCAM ) which is the only organisation comprehensively representing the range of business investment and activities undertaken in Africa by European companies.

BABA prepares and presents submissions and position papers to the European Commission, the British government and African governments or institutions either on its own behalf or in the context of EBCAM as appropriate.

BABA provides a platform for discussion of issues relevant to the development of the private sector in Africa and takes part in conferences and meetings with a view to highlighting both the variety of problems and the opportunities for the private sector in African countries.
