De Beers, established in 1888 is the largest diamond mining company in the world today, producing over 40% of global gem diamonds, as well as sorting and selling the majority of the world’s rough diamonds. De Beers operates in more than 20 countries across six continents employing more than 13,000 people, with mining operations across Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Canada.
