SABMiller plc is one of the world's largest brewers, with brewing interests and distribution agreements across six continents.  Since listing on the London Stock Exchange over 10 years ago they have grown into a global operation, developing a balanced and attractive portfolio of businesses.  In Africa, their operations cover 15 countries with a further 18 covered through a strategic alliance with the Castel group. They also have associated undertakings in Zimbabwe.  SABMiller bottle soft drinks for The Coca-Cola Company in 20 of their African markets, 13 of which are through their alliance with Castel.  ‘To constantly raise the profitability of local businesses, sustainably’ is one of the four strategic priorities that guide the management of SABMiller’s business and this strategic focus is underpinned by their 10 sustainable development priorities.
